90 Days In Jail For Lindsay Lohan

Filed in archive DUI Celebrities , Getting Sober , News on July 20, 2010

Today (Tuesday), Lindsay Lohan is to start 90 days in jail. At the last minute, her lawyer - high-profile lawyer Robert Shapiro- quit.

Lindsay Lohan has been sentenced 90 days in jail and 90 days in rehab for violating DUI arrests.

Her last days as a free woman were spent at a rehab house in West Hollywood while surrounded by paparazzi as she was visited by her mother Dina and others -- just the kind of spectacle the judge is trying to avoid.

After being arrested for her DUI in 2007, Lindsay spent 87 minutes in the same jail. This time she will most likely serve just a fraction of her 90 day sentence because of overcrowding.

Hey Lindsay...I do hope you become a really good girl after this mishap!

The court has ordered him to serve time, losing his license for three years. Jani Lane will also have to complete a 30 month alcohol education program after his release from jail.

This is the second incident for the lead singer, where he previously was given a three year probation for hitting a parked car while drinking under the influence.

If you are suffering from alcholism giving up the sauce can be extremely difficult. You may have already suffered from DUI charges and loss of family and friends. Once you finally decide it is time to quit you need all the motivation you can get.

One of the best things you can do for yourself is to sign up for a 12 step program and start attending meetings regularly. While you are there you will find a sponsor and other friends to help you when you need them. This can be a great help in the process of sobering up.

Once you are sober you will want to be constantly reminded of reasons not to drink. A great simple way to do this is to surround yourself with images and words that remind you why sobriety is so important. Getting some personalized print ups from an online printing store can help you to succeed with this task.

Using online printing you can get magnets with your sponsors numbers, calendars with images that remind you of the importance of not drinking, and even a banner that displays an inspirational message. This is a simple step that may go a long way toward helping you to succeed with your wish to be sober.
